Welcome to 'Greet the Feet' Reflexology.
60, Ballymoney Road, Banbridge. BT32 4DX,

Men and women, discover or return to the Ancient Therapy of Reflexology.

Reflexology is based on the idea that certain points on the soles, tops and sides of the feet, hands, face and ears (reflex points) correspond to the organs and tissues throughout the body.

Changes in temperature, texture, colour and sensitivity of the reflex points are noted by your reflexologist, who then works quietly with trained, sensitive hands to bring about better flow and balance throughout the body and mind.

About Greet the Feet Reflexology

My name is Alison, I am a level 4 MFHT (Federation of Holistic Therapists) reflexologist and member of the International Institute of Reflexologists.
The homely clinic, run by my husband and I, is situated just outside Banbridge and has off street parking.
You will be made very welcome throughout your time here.

Many people, both men and women, come for reflexology simply for the wonderfully deep relaxation and feel good factor this therapy gives them.

~

Reflexology can help ease burn-out, stress, pain relief, sleep disturbances and many other areas of dis-ease.

~

The gentle pressure of touch is used all over the feet (or hands or face). As the body is mirrored in, and on, these areas, the benefits of reflexology actually include the whole person, body, mind and spirit, not just the presenting symptoms.

Things to note

Reflexologists cannot cure, diagnose or prescribe.

What to expect at your first session.

Please allow one and a half hours.

Firstly, you will fill in a health consultation form, which we can discuss, to ensure the suitability of reflexology for you.

If foot reflexology is chosen, you will remove your shoes and socks.  For hand, facial or auricular reflexology it only needs your hands, face or ears!  You will then be made comfortable and warm on the reflexology chair or couch.

This is where you can relax and really enjoy the sensation of reflexology.

Water will be offered at the close of the session whilst we chat through our findings and whether follow up sessions are recommended..

It is strongly advised to maintain good hydration and plan a quiet day whenever possible following reflexology.

What to expect at your second and
on- going sessions.

Please allow one hour.

We will review any changes that have occurred since your last visit, and ask about your well being today, before agreeing on a plan for the session.

It is usual for the effects of reflexology to be cumulative, with clients often noticing the full benefits after four or more sessions.

This depends entirely on each individuals starting place of course.

Reflexology isn't for everyone.

Reflexology is not suitable if you have;

  •  leg or foot fractures.
  •
  •  unhealed wounds on  your lower legs or feet.
  •
  •  active gout.
  •
  •  osteoarthritis in the  foot or ankle areas
  •
  •  vascular disease.
  •
  •  thrombosis or  embolism.
  •
  •  open wounds.
  •
  •  contagious disease.

How will I feel?

As individuals we will all feel different during and after reflexology.

Most people experience a profound sense of deep relaxation and peace during reflexology.

For some people, this can take a number of sessions as areas on your feet may initially be tender.  (This can be seen as a positive sign of those areas becoming more functional).

Some people may experience tiredness, aches or cold like symptoms, for a day or two afterwards, which may or may not be related to the reflexology (or just life itself!).

Please discuss how you feel with me.

Breast cancer related Lymphoedema in the arm?

Together we can help each other.

Reflexology Lymph Drainage. RLD

Reflexology lymphatic drainage has been proving successful in reducing arm Lymphoedema since the 2010's. Working only on the feet, Sally Kay's innovative system consistently shows a marked and lasting reduction in arm size.

Can you help me?

I am currently looking for four volunteers with cancer related arm lymphoedema to assist me as I develop this methodology into my practice, which aims to reduce arm lymphoedema.

Can I help you?

I am offering you four sessions of RLD here in Banbridge.  Each session will last about two hours and will be very much a collaborative session involving discussion, measurement and reflexology.  There is no charge for these four sessions, and I hope that we can reduce your lymphoedema..

Thankyou

The client therapist relationship is one of trust and friendship.  If you can assist me as I develop my practice further, I say thankyou very much. Please do get in contact with an initial phone call 07876624712.  Ask for Alison.
